Summer Session is Stanford University's fourth academic quarter, offering more than 200 courses from 35 departments to over 2,500 graduate, undergraduate, and advanced high school students. Summer Session is seeking a Marketing Specialist to participate in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives that enable Summer Session to meet business objectives. The position will analyze traffic and conversion data to optimize digital marketing campaigns and identify holes in the recruitment funnel while supporting cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
This position is eligible for full-time remote work from any location in the U.S. Remote workers' schedules are based in the Pacific Time zone.
Your responsibilities include:
Execute digital marketing strategies to meet business objectives, including paid search, display, and social campaigns.
Monitor, track and report effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns through Google Analytics and user behavior analytics tools.
Conduct competitive benchmarking and analyze campaign/program/service/event effectiveness used to inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation and customer targeting.
Design, implement, and document customized analytics digital tagging/tracking specifications for digital content.
Implement marketing plans/programs to meet business objectives, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
Write, edit, and schedule select marketing communications, social media, and web content that adheres to communications and brand strategy for a variety of channels (i.e., web, social, email).
Create and distribute reports or dashboards to internal stakeholders and provide interpretation of data when needed.
Review and report post-event/program data.
Assist in quality control of data and marketing materials.
Manage the design and production of select marketing materials.
Support the creation and launch of tools and processes to improve marketing efforts.
Develop an understanding of organization's major programs, services, events and products.
Collaborate with Student Services and Data Analyst as needed to align customer experience and customer satisfaction metrics.
May plan and execute events to support marketing objectives, such as webinars and Welcome Weekend activities.
Coordinate vendor estimates and invoice processing.

To be successful in the position, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
Previous experience in program and/or services marketing.
Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
Experience with managing projects.
Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, current and future digital marketing trends.
Demonstrated experience using and applying marketing and website analytics software.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written skills.
Demonstrated team player.
Highly organized and creative.
