Part-time Content Developer, Marketing Communication
Up to 20 hours per week
REMOTE & ON-SITE WORK. Individual must be able to travel between Lynn and Danvers campuses as needed.
The Content Developer will be responsible for creating a variety of content for various media and digital channels to support the efforts of the college's Marketing Communications Department. This includes sourcing and developing stories about students, faculty and alumni; writing for web, e-marketing, digital advertising, short and long print collateral, and video; and, collaborating with designers and vendors to package copy and visuals for everything from CMS-generated web pages to eblasts to infographics and brochures. Provide SEO-optimized content with headlines, body copy, captions, call-outs, calls-to-action and, for online media, linkages that drive click-throughs and traffic to NSCC's website and landing pages. Work with designers and supervisor to ideate, conceive and brainstorm campaigns and concepts for story-telling and content marketing through copy, visuals and interactive assets, including staging photo shoots and/or scripting video content and planning appropriate usage across multiple channels.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop student success stories and faculty/staff/alumni profiles through research and interviews and identify appropriate staging channels
Develop customized social media promoting recruitment and registration messaging, as well as "need to know" information for prospective and current students, faculty, staff, general college community and public
Write, edit and refresh content for CMS-generated landing pages;
Write, edit and update eblasts to prospective and current students and general college community;
Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received: Reports to Executive Director of Marketing Communications
SALARY: $26-$30 per hour. Non-benefited position, up to 20 hours per week.

Bachelor's degree required, minimum of 3-5 years' of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent and accomplished writing, review, editing, and proofing skills
Deep experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
SEO strategy, especially as it applies to content
Knowledge of Adwords, Google Keyword Planner
Familiarity with Google Analytics
Photography skills and Photoshop
Experienced with consumer personas and the student/customer journey
Knowledge and familiarity with AP Style Book, Columbia Guide to Online Style, Purdue style guides
Familiarity with project management systems
Familiarity with graphic design for digital and print mediums
Adherence to deadlines and multiple production schedules
Excellent focus and attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness and collaboration.
Ability to receive good-faith project-related critique and editing from supervisor and/or content owners
Must possess ability to analyze problems and to provide creative solutions
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus
Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations required
Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
Additional Salary Information: $26-$30 per hour. Non-benefited position, up to 20 hours per week.
