Position Purpose: The marketing manager will lead, design and execute brand and performance marketing strategies to support all program areas at TSS serving over 15,000 students annually through transformative, place-based education experiences. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer and an active member of the Marcom Team, this role works collaboratively across all TSS departments supporting both internal stakeholders and managing external partners and vendors. The ideal candidate will thrive on data-driven metrics, possess a keen eye for design, and problem solve with creativity.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree Preferred • Experience developing and executing performance and digital marketing strategies • Budget management and experience on-boarding / managing service providers • Experience with marketing automation and email marketing systems, Salesforce or similar CRM system, Google Analytics and data visualization • Experience in website CMS preferably Wordpress • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, web content management systems and Google Apps • Effective oral and written presentation skills, eye for design and marketing copy writing • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented • Ability to work well in collaboration with a variety of individuals in a mid-size, fast-paced organization Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: • Able to write / type / communicate • Able to sit/stand at a desk for up to 8 hours • Primarily based at the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools with potential meetings/interactions/work on all campuses locations
Responsibilities: 60% Performance / Digital Marketing • Drive the digital strategy, execution and optimization of all paid media marketing strategies and campaigns. • Focus on engagement and retention strategy and execution across consumer touchpoints including email, web, push, SMS, etc. • Responsible for TSS website and email marketing strategy, content execution and performance. • Support marketing, ecommerce and sales with ongoing campaign management. Focus on engagement and retention strategy and execution across consumer touchpoints including email, web, push, SMS, etc. • Develop and execute web content updates to ensure websites are up-to-date with current brand, program and promotional content, as well as consistent with look-and-feel of brand standards and advertising campaign. • Develop and implement marketing automation and email drip campaigns to increase inbound acquisition. • Own and create marketing acquisition reporting dashboards and create mechanisms to share performance with leadership and the broader business, evaluate campaign effectness and inform marketing and program decisions. • Primary lead for freelance and agency contacts to support performance strategies and digital marketing campaigns. • Manage all marketing software applications and work with appopriate CRM Center of Excellence team members on integrations. • Collaborate with other team members to envision an improved digital presence and connected marketing strategy to attract and retain participants and donors. • Attend Data Working Group meetings as needed assure the quality of contact data used in marketing campaigns. • Manage related marketing and advertising budget responsibilities for program area budgets.
15% Brand Management • Manage the TSS brand identity in consult with Marcom team, design vendors and other stakeholder groups. • Primary owner of TSS brand across all channels. • Project management for creative campaigns for branded needs and all program areas. • Support the development of marketing materials and marketing plans for all areas in conjunction with CBO. • Lead efforts toward digital assets management including photos and video.
15% Marketing Leadership • Support and active participant in creating the strategic performance marketing vision (aligned with budget). • Manage workflows for management of internal marketing requests. • Manage and develop network of professional support (consultants, contractors, vendors) for design, photo/video, web development and SEO and marketing and communications software applications. • Help evolve and optimize internal workflow and processes to increase efficiencies. • Represent TSS at internal and external events. • Assist with other marketing and communications duties as assigned to support the Marcom team and program areas of TSS.
