The Associate Manager, Trade Marketing POS assists the Trade Marketing team in the development, fulfillment and execution of Point-of-Sale (POS) materials in support of the Constellation Brands Beer Division brand portfolio. The individual will collaborate closely with the Trade Marketing Manager and the respective Brand teams to help align all programming to specific brand strategies and respective budgets. Individual is responsible for working with internal Constellation stakeholders, as well as external marketing agencies and vendors to achieve established goals and coordinate programming deliverables. This individual will also assist with the program analysis and opportunity identification during the annual planning process.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with development, implementation and ongoing management of permanent, semi-permanent and temporary point-of-sale programming for assigned Constellation Beer brands to ensure short and long-term Marketing objectives are met. Works closely with Beer Division Brand Managers to identify point-of-sale needs that align and support brand objectives.
Assists in the development of launch point-of-sale programming across assigned brands to ensure materials are available to support new product and packaging launches.
Assists in the development of artwork for Constellationâs fleet graphic program across assigned brands. Reviews and signs off on proofs to ensure accuracy and quality of designs. Assists distributors in financial reimbursements associated with this program.
Communicates with Point-of-Sale creative agencies and vendors in the design of materials that target the retail trade and consumers for sales enhancing and consumer awareness programs.
Manages and directs the work of our fulfillment agency and vendors in support of the production of Point of Sale marketing materials.
Oversees POS inventory reorders, destruction of obsolete items and website maintenance for POS and graphic template assets for assigned brands. Manages distributor access to these platforms via the CIM system.
Assists with the financial management of the POS budget, including entry and management of purchase orders; ensuring invoice reconciliation is timely and accurate against warehouse reports; oversight of distributor and employee billbacks; and support with monthly forecasting as needed.
Maintains constant and concise communication with both field sales and distributor personnel to ensure point-of-sale needs are met.
Engages in the promotional support of other brand innovation or new business development projects as needed.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as determined by management.
Reports to the Manager, Trade Marketing POS
A Bachelorâs degree is required, preferably with an emphasis on marketing or communications.
A minimum of 5-6 years progressive experience in promotional marketing, brand marketing/management, field sales, or agency capacities, working with a CPG organization, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry, is required in order to understand the job function, marketing and sales needs and the three-tier distribution system.
Progressive experience working with vendors in the design, production and distribution of POS marketing materials is desired.Â Â
Must have an understanding of the role promotions and point-of-sale materials have in supporting marketing and sales strategic execution.
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with both internal and external customers. Must be able to make decisions independently and recommend viable solutions to problems and issues.
Must take the initiative to learn and acquire new skills and abilities and improve upon existing systems and programs.
Works well in a fast-paced, action-oriented team where priorities change and time frames are critical. Must manage time well and be highly organized in the timely delivery of multiple deliverables across multiple programs.Â Must be able to work independently and recommend viable solutions to problems and issues.
Individual needs to be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to operate and perform independently.Â
Must be experienced and be able to demonstrate solid skills using software packages including Microsoft Office or their equivalents. Can demonstrate experience with learning operating systems such as CIM, Ariba and Anaplan.
