TheÂ USCÂ School of Pharmacy invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and Health Economics position within its Masters of Science in Biopharmaceutical Marketing (BPMK) program.
Of particular interest to the program are candidates with broad industry experience and expertise across both domestic and international markets in the biopharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will serve the role of course coordinator and faculty instructor for a highly innovative graduate program which combines core components of biopharmaceutical marketing, health policy and healthcare business strategy. This individual will be expected to teach and oversee selected weekend courses along with weekday course offerings. As a Teaching Track faculty member, the candidate will be expected to combine teaching and mentoring to a total of at least 80% of USC activities. Scholarly activities and university service are important contributions for the well-rounded faculty candidateâs recruitment and success. Routine faculty administration and participation duties, such as attendance at departmental and full faculty meetings and committee service, as well as annual review submissions and peer-to-peer teaching evaluations are expected.
This individual will work within the BPMK program, the School of Pharmacy and the Leonard Schaeffer Center, collaborating with faculty and staff to continue development of targeted biopharmaceutical marketing and business-related program content and delivery to attract qualified degree candidates interested in working in the growing and innovative biopharmaceutical and medical technology industries.
Qualifications and Experience:
Doctorate in, or with additional graduate level training in, business, marketing or related fields with relevant research or management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Relevant masters degree(s) with extensive field experience and leadership Training and experience in business strategy, marketing, market access, and reimbursement management is preferred.Â At least 15 years of management level experience is highly desired. Specific examples of teaching experience, excellence and content and performance evaluations are requested. Qualified candidates will preferably have demonstrated experience or leadership in diversity and inclusion within their prior academic and professional work environments that they can bring to the education setting.
