Essential Duties and Responsibilities - General Marketing to include communications and branding for the association
- Program Design to consistently take ideas from paper to concept to delivery
- Writing to enthusiastically communicate APMP’s message with minimal direction through website, e-mail, and social media content. Other writing includes occasional presentation scripts and drafting “starting point” personal messages for VIPs to review and edit
- Digital Marketing to evolve the organization’s current efforts into a robust, contemporary, and effective digital marketing program
- Vendor Relations to utilize creative and interesting writers and designers who will adhere to the association’s style and tone
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies - Demonstrated strength and experience producing promotional content (written and visual) that is compelling, persuasive, and creative
- Ability to manage multiple products and timelines
- Strong attention to detail
- Good background with technology:
- Operations (e.g., Microsoft suite including Teams, Google suite, Dropbox)
- Email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, MagnetMail, Informz)
- Online meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, GoToWebinar, MS Teams)
- Survey platforms (e.g., Survey Monkey)
- Self-motivation to perform the role with integrity and enthusiasm while working largely independent of consistent oversight or supervision
- Ability to make decisions and move tasks forward in a quickly changing environment
- Ability to provide effective guidance and work collaboratively with APMP staff, volunteer leaders, and members
Education, Training, and Experience - A minimum bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university (required), preferably with a marketing or related degree
- Experience working for a professional association is a strong plus
- Demonstrated comfort/experience with a variety of technology platforms
- Attention to detail and ability to track processes from beginning to end
- Proven ability to build relationships and engage with a variety of media, social platforms, and constituencies
- Proven understanding of project management

Other Information This position requires travel approximately two or three times per year to APMP events and meetings. In-person staff meetings take place as needed and could happen in a variety of locations. Some evening and weekend work, while rare, may be required for conference calls and meetings.
