We are looking for a strategic, data-driven Marketing Fellow to join our Smart Connected Products (SCP) team. Working closely with the GM of our Smart Connected Products business, you will be a critical player in leading a product portfolio marketing strategy, from vision through to implementation, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for directing the SCP go-to-market efforts including compelling marketing programs for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and other PTC solutions. This includes a holistic view of product marketing, marketing events, field enablement, and demand generation plans across the marketing organization for SCP.
You will set the positioning to address new market segment needs as well as to enhance PTC solutions by defining unique business differentiators, then engage with our SCP demand gen team to ensure this customer-centric message reaches the market.
You will work closely with the sales, field marketing, digital marketing, content marketing and marketing analytics teams to develop, execute, and measure success, establishing industry best practice KPIs for marketing. You will assess SCP marketing performance and work to optimize marketing spend to maximize results.
Work with product and solutions marketing teams to develop detailed messaging documents positioning IoT and PTC solutions for industrial companies.
Interact with multiple marketing departments (demand generation, marketing operations, web and digital experience, field marketing, sales enablement) to develop content for lead generation activities and sales enablement materials.
Lead and oversee cross functional teams to build business and technical messaging and validate with customers through focus groups/voice of customer interviews.
Track marketing and sales KPIs, identify performance gaps, and define counter-measures aligning marketing and sales strategies.
Interpret and draw conclusions from data, turning analytic insights into business actions.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Experience in growing technology companies; experience in startups and in recurring revenue/SaaS companies a plus.
8+ years of marketing vision and execution experience.
6+ years of experience leading and managing teams; experience in matrixed environments a plus.
Ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership.
Ability to translate a marketing plan into actionable targets (monthly, quarterly, annually).
Direct experience in understanding the customer pain points associated with industrial companies.
Ability to adapt quickly and push forward even when presented with limited information.
Capable of clearly communicating with and influencing executives.
Experience utilizing data, analytics, and tools to support and enhance marketing strategy.
Strong leadership, collaboration, project management, and problem-solving skills
