California Closets is seeking an experienced team player with exceptional judgment to plan our portfolio, market the product and services, drive online sales, and manage the commercial process with online marketplace sites. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with at least five years of relevant experience who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced digital/e-commerce environment.
The E-Commerce Marketing Manager will oversee California Closets listings and inventory for all third-party online marketplaces. This position will be responsible for forecasting sales, managing margin and profitability, as well as category management for each online partner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Forecast sales, manage margin and profitability for each online market site
Set up the product portfolio on each online site and optimize product pages.
Create engaging, dynamic SEO driven product copy while complying with Marketplace rules and guidelines
Manage sponsored product ad spend and report on results
Address any customer issues/orders whether they be filled by a client, filled by marketplace site or by other third-party partners
Work with internal customer service departments, fulfillment, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of all orders
Monitor product productivity and inventory for each marketplace platform
Perform ongoing competitive scans to be aware of and report regularly on online competitive offerings, pricing, and other analysis
Cultivate online reviews, monitor reviews and online feedback, and response to Q&A's
Monitor, analyze and report on marketplace metrics and sales
Coordinate marketing for all online marketplaces, including promotional opportunities, pricing optimization, content creation (guides, banners, HTML templates, and email)
Research and identify new marketplaces, including logistical needs and pricing
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, data sciences, or related field
Five years’ experience in ecommerce, online marketing, or equivalent
Direct to Consumer online marketplace experience; Prefer Wayfairmarketplace experience (3P)
Experience with online product listings, data feeds, email marketing, search engine marketing, and Google Analytics is strongly preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to plan strategically and manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel
Ability to create, analyze, and comprehend marketplace data and sales analytics for use in forecasting, production, and communication with others
Ability to work well under pressure in a fluid, virtual, fast-paced team environment while meeting critical deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to quickly learn and work with the new systems and software
Work can be performed in a virtual (home office) environment.
Occasional travel may be required (post-COVID)
