As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator you will assist the Director of Enrollment and Communications with duties related to communications and messaging to constituent groups. You will be mentored by the Marketing and Communications Manager. This position is 20 hours per week.
Collecting, editing, and implementing the weekly newsletter. Must be able to work closely with faculty, staff and students to gather information for stories
Making connections in the larger community to support admission, development, school-wide goals and outreach programs
Understanding the target audience, researching and writing stories
Gathering of information including interviewing students, teachers, and parents for press release writing and distribution
Keeping a media contact database and maintaining the archives
Assist the Communications and Marketing Manager in planning, creating and editing content for print and online publications as needed
Attend school events and activities for photos and understand photo editing software
Video filming and editing skills with an understanding of marketing
Loading news stories for regular publications and making minor updates as needed to website content
Ensuring current and engaging content on all social media platforms
Coordinate the recording and distribution of Facebook and Instagram live events
Assist the Director of Enrollment and Communications planning a social media calendar and logging metrics

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
2 + years of marketing and communications experience preferred
Have a strong understanding of journalistic reporting and AP Style
Well organized and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent writing and editing skills
Experience with photography and videography
Familiarity with programs such as Word, Excel, I-Contact, Publisher, Powerpoint, Photoshop, In-Design, web editing programs, video editing software, or other related graphic related programs.
Experience and commitment to working with culturally diverse students, families, and colleagues and contributing to building and maintaining an inclusive community

Founded in 1994 and located on a 45-acre site in the bosque in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bosque School values integrity, community and scholarship. Our progressive curriculum is designed to support a lifelong learning mindset through challenge and inquiry. Through the Bosque Environmental Monitoring Program, our students host thousands of peers from around the state as they are trained on-site to collect scientific data for use by researchers at the University of New Mexico.
