Our programs and initiatives center around cultural exchange and personal development via work, education, volunteering, and/or for travel, as well as fair trade and environmental sustainability. Greenheart has three branches: Greenheart Exchange, Greenheart Travel, and Greenheart Shop.
Our Greenheart Exchange branch seeks an outgoing, creative, collaborative, and smart-working individual. Our programs offer global citizens the opportunity to study, work, intern, train or teach in U.S. businesses and schools, promoting public diplomacy and cultural understanding between the United States and other countries.
The Marketing Coordinator for Greenheart Exchange will collaborate with programs to plan, create, implement, and track marketing tactics.
The Marketing Coordinator position is the perfect place to start your career in the non-profit sector. You will have the opportunity to learn about the cultural exchange category and marketing/communications. You will get experience developing target segments and making recommendations for effective marketing strategies—including content development, messaging, and contact planning. You will learn how to monitor results, evaluate success, and track budgets. In addition, you will work with a team that is dedicated to cultural understanding, environmentalism, volunteerism and fair trade.
Collaborate with Program Directors and Marketing Director to understand the objectives and targets in order to strategize, develop, implement, and maintain an effective annual marketing plan and budget.
Includes creating an annual calendar plan and workflow to focus on generating awareness, leads, and conversions
Manage Email Marketing Platform, Get Response, by finalizing email designs, uploading and honing target audience/segment lists, sending and tracking responses to emails
Maintain the Greenheart brand by effectively managing templates, collateral, and content creation
Create and manage digital advertisements on social sites, online publications, etc.
Work with graphic designer to update sales packets, banners, and other collateral
Work with the videographer and social team to create stories and video/social/blog strategies (writing, scripting, distributing, cataloging digital assets, and tracking success against program-specific targets and goals)
Work with IT team to update content and inquiry forms on the Greenheart Exchange website
Support program teams with conferences, job fairs, and tradeshow marketing needs (ordering sales packets, promo items, banners, follow-up strategy to nurture leads)
Monitor Google Analytics and Google AdWords Grants in order to adjust marketing strategies as needed
Help motivate program staff members to think creatively
Attend program team meetings to ensure marketing has a visible role on their teams, and to keep teams up to date on marketing projects
Support the team members by offering practical assistance when needed
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in Marketing or Communications
1-2 years of marketing experience
Creative thinking with a knack for being resourceful and looking for unconventional solutions to problems
Ability to meet tight deadlines, while juggling multiple priorities
Efficiency and flexibility with excellent organization skills and attention to detail
An ability to interact and communicate with groups of all ages, nationalities, ethnicities, and backgrounds
Genuine desire to contribute to an organization that promotes cultural exchange and environmental consciousness
Outgoing personality and a willingness to learn
Strong work ethic and excellent written, oral communications, and interpersonal skills,
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with email marketing, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
