Digital Marketing Content Editor
The George Mason University College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), Office of Admissions, invites applications for a part-time Digital Marketing Content Editor to edit and revise content for marketing assets including webpages, advertisements, email campaigns, and more. The Digital Marketing Content Editor will revise text provided by internal colleagues and clients, as well as external freelancers and vendors, to align content with the style, voice, messaging, and appropriate digital format. This role should have a good understanding of SEO and copywriting best practices, and exceptional understanding of style and proofreading.
Edit content to align with university branding, CEHD style and voice, and provided marketing goals;
Serve as an internal expert on style and brand voice;
Collaborate with external vendors and advertising partners to ensure content is consistent with desired style, brand, and messaging;
Work directly within the CEHD's digital platforms, including email marketing and web content management systems;
Leverage analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Email Analytics) to identify technical and content issues and suggest shifts and changes.
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
2+ years of related experience in editing, writing, and/or web content management;
Experience with digital marketing tools such as web content management systems and email marketing platforms;
Must have exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality control;
Excellent writing, organizational, project management, and time management skills;
Practical experience with application of SEO best practices;
Knowledge of AP and Chicago style;
Experience in HTML editing a plus, and Google Analytics experience desired.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
