Berkeley Advanced Media Institute is the leading professional development program specializing in digital media training for content creators, journalists, editors, communication professionals, and educators. Berkeley Advanced Media Institute provides workshops and corporate training in multimedia storytelling, documentary filmmaking, social media, data visualization, video storytelling, photography, podcasting, design thinking, and other interactive media technologies. We are known for our collaborative, innovative approach to identifying new content and dynamic ways of learning, networking and ultimately providing trans-formative experiences to the organizations we work with.
Under general supervision, identifies, implements and promotes content on relevant digital platforms, such as the website, social media platforms, and partner sites that motivates and excites users and aligns with the Berkeley AMI brand strategy.
Assists in gathering and preparing subject matter for Berkeley AMI and is expert on Berkeley AMI product offerings and stays up to date with industry trends.
Conducts routine interviews as it pertains to content creation and writes and compiles materials for Berkeley AMI for targeted and external audiences.
Produces creative content for email marketing, ad campaigns, the webpages, social media and tutorials to increase engagement. This may be through written articles, photography, graphics, videos, text, and/or audio files.
Maintains media distribution lists and identifies/targets appropriate distribution audiences.
Compiles and maintains files and/or records of created content and distributes to interested parties.
Oversee website, maximizing content for SEO and SEM.
Working knowledge of concepts and principles of news, media communications and media relations.
General knowledge of usage and applications of technical equipment and skill in using relevant technical equipment.
Working knowledge of or ability to learn the campus, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives, programs and infrastructure.
Good written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills and political acumen.
Good organizational skills.
Skill to maintain confidentiality.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Experience in content marketing, SEO and SEM.
Salary & Benefits
This position is a non-exempt, bi-weekly paid position. Hourly pay for this role is commensurate with experience up to $29.00.
