The Vice President of Marketing oversees a newly formed marketing department. This highly strategic role reports to the Senior Vice President and serves as a member of the association’s senior leadership team. Area of responsibilities will include providing day-to-day strategic and operational oversight of marketing and sales efforts to grow revenue generating areas, including ISRI membership, products and services. Success of marketing and sales efforts will be tied to specific key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with current and future ISRI member value, products and services.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Works under supervision of the Senior Vice President and in collaboration across the association’s leadership to develop marketing campaigns that leverage data and research insights to achieve ISRI’s organizational and financial goals.
Develops highly effective marketing campaigns that use behavior-based marketing, data-driven strategies, digital innovation and branded content and deliverables leveraging multiple communication channels, including but not limited to web, direct marketing, social and paid media and special events.
Successfully targets internal and external audiences, including members, non-members, related industry stakeholders, the industry and general public.
Identifies ways to achieve and grow success with the introduction of new product opportunities or the expansion of current products, in keeping with member needs and ISRI’s mission.
Ensures accurate and consistent messaging in ISRI’s marketing initiatives.
Creates a marketing campaign management and reporting system that tracks, measures and evaluates the performance of marketing efforts and includes campaign analytics.
Creates a culture of data-driven decisions and employs analytics in strategic and operational decision making to adapt campaigns that achieve success.
Manages and motivates a team of sales and operational professionals located in both remote and in-house offices.
Works with staff to prepare annual budgets that support the achievement of KPIs.
Fulfills the association’s core values, establishes partner relationships and fosters open communications that facilitate the exchange of information and ideas.
Fulfills any additional responsibilities to help ISRI achieve its goals and mission as identified by the President, Senior Vice President or members of the Board and/or Executive Committee.
Minimum 5-10 years' experience in the following: multi-channel research and data-driven marketing campaign development and implementation, brand management, data management, revenue generation and reporting to stakeholders at the highest level.
BS or BA degree in business marketing or a related concentration. MBA strongly preferred, although equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Strong analytical skills with an ability to work with less-than-perfect information sources.
Proven track record of measurable success in translating business and marketing objectives and strategies into successful multi-channel marketing and sales campaigns.
Demonstrated success in managing a diverse, high-performing team of professional employees, included some located remotely.
Experience in strategic planning, data reporting and presentation, contract negotiations and budge preparation.
Additional Salary Information: Salary commensurate with experience.
