The Marketing & Communication Assistant will work with leadership to advance the initiatives of the Division of Graduate Medical Sciences (GMS), promote the Division nationally and implement and support a wide range of projects. Responsibilities include working with faculty/staff from individual programs under the GMS umbrella to support marketing, outreach, recruitment, and communications needs as well as develop, maintain and optimize the GMS website. Assist with strategic marketing projects, promote graduate programs, track results of targeted communications using digital analytics tools, produce print publications (including event materials for orientation, commencement, recruitment, and booklets), develop and maintain a strong social media presence and other communications tasks as needed.
Qualifications: Must have a bachelors degree. A masters degree in marketing, public relations, or related area is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly motivated, professional, a good communicator, and an excellent writer. He or she will have a strong background in marketing or communications (including journalism, public relations, digital marketing, or other areas). Proficiency in digital communications platforms such as WordPress, MailChimp, Qualtrics, Google Analytics, HTML, and social media management tools is a plus. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information. Skill Requirements: Technical literacy in: Microsoft Office products; Adobe products including Creative Cloud, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, etc. Excellent writing and editing skills, as well as good interpersonal skills.
