The Marketing Specialist will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing and social media. The Marketing Specialist must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities May Include
Assisting in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
Ensuring all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes.
Supporting the maintenance and development of internal tools, including a dealer database, dealer portal, sales enablement items, mailing lists and promotional ordering procedures.
Furthering knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices, and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team.
Overseeing new packaging projects and maintain existing packaging.
Planning and managing meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by registering, identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules, booking travel and lodging, execute post event follow up internally and externally.
Maintaining a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed.
Documenting process procedures and process flow, recommending any changes to make process more efficient.
Assisting in execution of marketing plans to reach target audience through identified channels.
Initiating and managing new packaging projects such as corrugated boxes, bottles, product labels.
Maintaining existing packaging by coordinating design and copy updates, proofing artwork going to print production, ensuring finished packaging is correct upon delivery.
Processing and tracking promotional orders from marketing director and sales team.
Collecting incoming donation requests, vet events for local distribution and previous donations and present information to marketing director.
Creating slides recapping marketing activities for monthly internal presentation.
Assisting marketing director as needed on day-to-day tasks such as follow up with vendors, sponsorship activities, return phone calls, proof reading, etc.
Managing website updates including images and content.
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High school diploma or equivalent
1 or more years marketing experience (marketing coordinator or similar role; brand labeling, packaging, shows/events, websites, etc.)
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
Experience planning and leading initiatives
Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Associates or Bachelors Degree in a related field
Knowledge of oil industry or base oil/lubricants business is a plus
Knowledge of or interest in motorsports is a plus
Knowledge of brand strategies, concepts, and activities that drive consumer behavior
Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat/PDF’s
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
Excellent attention to detail, planning & organizational skills, and follow through on tasks
Ability to change course quickly, does not get frustrated in a changing environment
