1. Develop and manage recruitment marketing to build awareness of WSU-Rochester academic programs with prospective students and ACE credit and non-credit programs. * Collaborate with university and campus offices and staff to develop a recruitment marketing and public relations plan for the WSU-Rochester campus and ACE department * Coordinate and execute a community relations and outreach plan for the WSU-R campus and ACE department * Manage and develop advertising campaigns, including the negotiations of contracts, development of print and digital collateral materials and management of project timelines in collaboration with WSU Marketing and Communications and external partners/agencies. * Manage digital image archive and coordinate campus photo sessions that reflect adult student populations * Facilitate group on annual recruitment marketing recommendation * Analyze market and demographic data to assess outcomes * Collaborate with community college partners on joint marketing * Collaborate and communicate with WSU Marketing and Communications on a regular basis to maintain transparency in efforts across campuses.
2. Develop and implement a communication strategy for the WSU-R campus and ACE department. * Develop and implement a media relations plan and media relations contact network with appropriate resources in the Rochester community and surrounding region * Engage with the all campus constituents to manage and distribute crisis communications as needed * Write and distribute press releases and feature articles to increase community awareness of programs, activities, initiatives and accomplishments of students, faculty and staff on the WSU-Rochester campus and within the ACE department * Develop and manage internal communication services, including prospective student software, for the WSU-R campus community through effective and creative utilization of print, oral and electronic means * Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and execute communication and outreach efforts with under-represented populations * Assist with WSU-R campus survey initiatives for campus community and stakeholder groups, including the annual student assessment survey for the WSU-R campus and outreach survey to WSU-R graduates each term * Assist with community listening sessions hosted by ACE. Develop and manage electronic communication resources for WSU-Rochester and the ACE department. * Collaborate with university and campus staff to create and execute an ongoing plan to develop the WSU-R and ACE web sites to serve internal and external audiences * Oversight and direct participation in the development, review and management of the WSU-Rochester and ACE websites * Develop and manage WSU-R and ACE department social media resources * Leverage existing customer relationship management (CRM) software to improve enrollment yields
3. Budget * Plan and manage annual recruitment marketing budget for WSU-R advertising, publications, special events and inquiry management functions. * Assist with planning annual marketing budget for ACE department.
Notes: * Schedule requires some flexibility, including availability to work evening and weekend hours as needed. * Occasional out of town and/or overnight travel may be required. * Work may require some lifting, carrying and transporting of materials
Bachelor's degree in recruitment marketing, communication, public relations or another field relevant to the position.
Two (2) years of full-time work experience in related position and/or field, such as student recruitment, communication, journalism, recruitment marketing, community or public relations, fundraising/development and/or sales.
Ability to develop and maintain meaningful interpersonal relationships and effectively collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement strategic recruitment marketing and community relations activities in support of the mission and vision of WSU, WSU-Rochester, and ACE department.
Demonstrated experience and skills with web/internet resources, media production and/or recruitment marketing and public relations activities
Strong oral, written and electronic communication skills, including editing/copy writing abilities, brochure design and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability for developing and analyzing data to track and assess recruitment marketing and outreach efforts
Experience working as part of a team and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based, quality-driven environment
Knowledge of relevant computer hardware and software applications, preferably to include MS Office, desktop publishing, web design/content management, Hobsons (recruitment database) and database software
MS Office software including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
Photo editing and publication software, such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, Publisher, or Acrobat
Website content management software and procedures, with SharePoint and Open Text software experience preferred
Data entry and database applications (ISRS, DARS, Hobson's Connect/Retain) for records and reports
Carousel, Tightrope or equivalent web-based user interface program experience
