Internship position that will support the Fan Experience and Promotion staff by assisting in developing marketing and promotional plans for assigned sports. The position will require a strong candidate who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Duties include, but not limited to: Developing marketing, promotional, advertising, and ticketing plans for designated sports and manage individual sports budgets; Coordinating pre-game, in-game and post-game promotional activities to enhance the game day experience for fans and our student athletes; manage student internship program; Managing student street team program; Assisting with implementation and execution of football game-day elements; and assisting with the integration and activation of corporate sponsorship.
This is an entry level, career-based internship and is intended for professional development of an applicant with only 6 to 24 months of practical experience. Internship positions are a one year nonrenewable appointment.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, sports management or related field. At least two years of athletic marketing experience in collegiate athletics and/or professional athletics. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively work with a large and diverse population. Proficiency with computer applications and general office software programs is necessary. In addition, the candidate must be comfortable generating innovative ideas and exploring alternative approaches and solutions to problems. The candidate must be a dynamic problem solver, proactive planner, and demonstrate a willingness of collaborate.
Target Salary: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly
