Executive Director - Consumer Marketing - Marketing - Orlando
AdventHealth Orlando seeks to hire an Executive Director - Consumer Marketing who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Established in 1908, AdventHealth is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the country, caring for more than a million patients each year. It serves as a community hospital for Greater Orlando and as a major tertiary referral hospital for Central Florida and much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and Latin America.
M-Th 8AM-5PM, F 8AM-2:30PM
Provides strategic direction, development, planning, execution, and analysis of marketing, business development, physician relations, and community relations in order to meet the goals and objectives of the Orlando campus. Works closely with the Chief Development Officer and Vice President of the Foundation to build strong relationships in the community, develop fundraising opportunities and events, and identify/cultivate prospects. Provides leadership to the Orlando Marketing team, overseeing the development of annual strategic business and marketing plans, branding, advertising, community relations, physician relations, sponsorships, special events, new business opportunities, and program development. Works closely with the Senior Vice President of Marketing/PR and the Orlando Marketing team to develop short and long term strategic business development plans for the Orlando market area. Oversees and provides strategic direction, planning, and execution of all sports sponsorships. Applies expertise in market research, communications, analysis, and development. Actively participates in outstanding customer service that is equally respectful to all.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Demonstrate knowledge of strategic planning and execution, marketing, business development, community relations and physician relations
Strong network of relationships in market as well as experience and ability to establish partnerships
Strong management experience with the ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy
Team builder and player with an inclusive, collaborative management style; self starter with the ability to establish priorities
Ability to plan and implement initiatives in a strategic manner with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and take direction/work in a matrixed work environment; results oriented
Strong organizational skills, initiative, creativity, reliability, flexibility, thoroughness and accuracy
Experience managing budgets
General knowledge of computer hardware and software
Bachelor's degree, with an emphasis in marketing and public relations, advertising, communications, or healthcare administration
Master's degree in above discipline (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Ten years of experience in the marketing field with proven results
Seven years management experience

Provides leadership and management of the Orlando campus marketing/business development teams to foster a collaborative culture and environment that is conducive to meeting the goals and objectives of the campus. Works directly with the CEO, campus administration, foundation and other key stakeholders to provide strategic direction, planning, execution, and analysis of short and long-range goals, annual business plans, new business development opportunities, volume strategies, market solutions, and other action plans.
Works closely with the Chief Development Officer and Vice President of the Foundation to build strong relationships, develop fundraising opportunities and events, and identify/cultivate prospects in the Orlando community.
Creates business development opportunities and provides community leadership and presence in the Orlando marketplace through networking, strategic involvement on community boards, special event opportunities, cross promotions and other initiatives.
Facilitates and provides strategic direction for the integrated planning and execution of Campus marketing, business development and community plans in order to execute the organization's branding/positioning and volume driving strategies. This may include but is not limited to: advertising, marketing, community relations, social marketing, e-marketing, special events, media, sponsorship, physician relations, customer service and internal communication. Follows compliance guidelines for advertising activities.
Manages and provides direction for Orlando campus Marketing team to ensure productivity is maximized and specific goals and quality standards are met. Performs and/or reviews performance evaluations and takes disciplinary action as necessary. Demonstrates respect for patients and maintains confidentiality.
Works closely with the Senior Vice President of Marketing and the Orlando executive Marketing team to develop short and long-term strategic business development plans for the Orlando market area.
Oversees and provides strategic direction and execution of AdventHealth's sports partnerships including but not limited to: contracting and negotiation, marketing campaign integration, foundation tie-ins, community initiatives, and physician relations. Works with partners to develop tracking measures to demonstrate a positive return-on-investment.
Identifies and facilitates market research including market analysis and reporting to support short and long term planning, marketing strategy/integrated campaign development and foundation initiatives.
Continuously evaluates and adjusts marketing strategies and programs to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Identifies downtrends, reports accordingly and develops strategies to maintain and grow/reverse downtrends. Maintains in-depth understanding of profitability by service line. Develops tracking mechanisms to track impact/affect of all marketing activities; oversees the tracking, monitoring, and reporting of ROI reports.
Works proactively and independently showing initiative and problem-solving skills, consulting with administration and seeking advice when appropriate for situations outside authority or expertise. Provides timely reports as requested.
