Marketing and Communications at Geisinger is looking for an energetic, highly analytical person to join our team and have a major impact on how we conduct business now and into the future.
Marketing and Communications consists of Marketing, Brand Management, Media Relations, Digital Marketing, Market Research/Customer Insights and Internal Communications. The successful candidate will provide strategic input and insights to performance and outcomes of key marketing programs and campaigns. This position works closely with Department leadership to identify KPIs, trends and opportunities for improvement in digital and traditional marketing. This role also provides support to the digital and traditional media teams by developing dashboard and performance reports, and guiding business strategy based on campaign goals and outcomes. This individual will design and deliver market performance dashboards that support data-driven decision-making efforts.
Position will be dedicated 90% to marketing analytics and consumer insights/research and 10% to department budget financial planning in partnership with the CMO. Reports to Sr. Director, IT, Enterprise Data team, with dotted line accountability to VP, Marketing Technology and Analytics.
Competencies and Skills:
Experience with Google analytics and CRM databases required
SQL, Hive, SAS programming experience preferred
Moderate to highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Access databases
Experience creating and maintaining budgets
Experience with Tableau or other BI tools and Qualtrics preferred
Initiative:Proven experience in using customer and marketing data to identify strategic opportunities for marketing strategies to deliver value, takes initiative in bringing recommendations for marketing programs and/or program optimization to leadership.
Client-service orientation: Excellent communication, negotiation & interpersonal skills with both internal and external audiences; proven ability to influence and provide thought leadership when working with senior leadership as well as internal and cross-functional teams.
Strategic planning: Applies problem analysis and problem-solving aptitude in delivering strategic recommendations. Able to translate complex business requirements and create winning digital strategies that drive results.
Excellent project manager: Thrives when juggling client demands and executing multiple projects. Breaks projects down into manageable and estimate-able tasks. Demonstrates ability to prepare project plans, estimate project effort, and assist management with project budgets.
Financial acumen: Experience managing budgets and applied expertise in evaluating channel marketing spend to develop marketing ROI models.
Education and or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or healthcare related field, Master’s degree (e.g. MBA) preferred. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of demonstrated professional success in the area of marketing analytics and strategic planning may be considered equivalent to the educational requirement.
Experience in health care or health payer systems is strongly preferred.
If a suitably experienced candidate cannot be found, applicants who meet the basic qualifications but possess fewer years of experience will be considered for hire at a lower level.Salary would commensurate with experience.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in an office environment with occasional travel to different buildings.
Mostly sedentary work interacting with computers and people.
Requires ability to perform visual inspection and lifting less than 10 pounds.
