A small, award-winning association management company, based in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a career-minded individual who is energetic, detailed-orientated, dedicated, innovative, and understands the importance of serving others. WHO WE ARE: We specialize in health-care marketing, advertising, public/media relations, newsletter publishing, Website services, and collateral design. We also manage not-for-profit professional health-care membership associations. Responsibilities for these clients include bookkeeping; membership recruitment and retention; planning board of directors meetings; securing educational grants; producing trade shows, annual conventions, and educational programs that provide contact hours and continuing medical educations for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacists; newsletter publishing, ad sales, etc.
DUTIES: The successful candidate will be involved in supporting membership services, including: database maintenance; meeting and conference planning; website/mobile app coordination, social media; the use of technology; marketing and public relations; along with some advertising sales, general administrative services, proof reading, and clerical duties. Some travel required. Advertising layout, newsletter page layout, and sales experience a plus but not required! OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: High-level customer service for clients' members and customers Ensure member satisfaction Direct sales of client services and membership benefits to the post-acute-care segment of the health-care continuum Prepare status reports Prepare bank deposits Maintain databases The person who fills this position will work closely with the President/Executive Director and Membership Services Manager. Must be able to handle all requests, internal and external, efficiently, courteously, and professionally. Must be able to prioritize and organize workflow so all deadlines are met. SKILLS NEEDED: Must have working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel or Access. Familiarity with Associated Press style manual, Adobe Creative Suite including PhotoShop, also a plus. Must have excellent customer-services skills. Must be outgoing, friendly, and well-spoken. Must have good communication and negotiation skills. Must have project and deadline management experience. Must be able to pay attention to accuracy and detail. Must have experience in developing and maintaining satisfied customers. Must be very self-motivated, driven, and teachable.
