The part-time Marketing Assistant at the Harvard Art Museums will support marketing and advertising needs for special exhibitions and major campaigns. Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing in the department of PR/Marketing, the Marketing Assistant is responsible for the project management of advertising and supports the department's traditional and digital marketing efforts. Please note: This is a one year term position with the possibility of renewal based on business needs and continued funding. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and execution of advertising campaigns for the Harvard Art Museums and for special exhibitions, in consultation with the Communications team and other museums stakeholders.
Serve as liaison with advertising vendors; field inquiries, and gather and relay information on packages and sponsorships with advertising vendors.
Manage advertising specs and deadlines in collaboration with PR/Marketing and the museums' graphic designers.
Coordinate email marketing, including drip campaigns, list segmentation and regular performance reports.
Assist PR/Marketing team with the development and distribution of events and exhibition-related print materials, such as postcards and posters.
Assist PR/Marketing team with daily tasks as needed.

Candidates must meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this position: Minimum of three years of related experience (internships and education beyond high school may count towards years of experience).
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, the arts or other related field preferred. Strong project management skills and outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills will be essential to success in this position. Ability to multi-task and maintain a positive, helpful attitude. Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative team setting. Research and reporting skills. Email marketing skills. Knowledge of general museum community. Willingness to work collaboratively with Communications team, key museums clients on review of content, incorporating feedback. Attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly proficient in MS Office.
