This role sits within the front office and will be working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will help originate, pitch and maintain relationships with prospects and clients, matching our services and FX and rates derivative products to their needs. You will work with FX and rates trading, research, operations teams, platform sales to provide comprehensive client coverage from an investment and non-investment standpoint - including fulfilling client requests for market updates, facilitating market access and providing institutions with information on how to build their business. You will also be involved in providing marketing ideas and help initiate transactions. This role will provide wider exposure to other sales teams, and you will be able to demonstrate a deep knowledge of a client's business by identifying opportunities for sales of new services, products and professional services.
Key Responsibilities: · Supporting day to day FX and rates client requests and needs, executing orders and pricing structures · Implementing selling as a continuum -- independently and effectively completing transactions from start to finish (originate leads; pitch to mandate; on-boarding; finance transactions; clearing and settling transactions) · Understanding and actively participating in the firm's approach to managing risk including the internal policies and procedures applicable to the business · Understanding external regulations relevant to the business · Building a foundation of trust with clients by demonstrating an understanding of their needs, clearly articulating desk ideas, and being responsive · Balancing potentially competing needs across clients, internal partners and the firm · Assisting with the post sales process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and to ensure internal controls are followed · Preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches. · Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure that any customer queries are communicated effectively through the correct channels in the business. · Knowledge of FX and rates derivative trading products · Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, research, trading or operations within the financial services industry · Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking while prioritizing; detail oriented · Experience in building and maintaining account relationships at all levels both with external customers and internal stakeholders. · Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills a must. Languages: · Fluent in English · Competent in Mandarin · Conversational Cantonese preferred
