Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a Student Admissions Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator to inspire change and lead others to achieve enrollment goals. MHS currently enrolls almost 2,100 Pre-K through 12th grade students from lower-income settings. The School is expanding to serve 2,300 students.
This position is responsible for ensuring enrollment goals are met through marketing and recruiting student applications for lower-income students whom are under the age of 16. Currently, MHS annually receives approximately 7,000 inquiries, over 4,000 applications and enrolls approximately 400 on a rolling basis.
-Collaborating with the Senior Director and Director to develop a long term strategic marketing plan and affiliated annual plans. -Collaborating with the Communications team to oversee an advertising agency retained to conduct research & implement marketing messaging, strategies, and materials. -Igniting a recruitment team of 8 staff members to successfully implement change and innovate marketing strategies for increased recruiting effectiveness. -Tracking volume and trends. Adapting plans and strategies accordingly. -Collaborating extensively within the Enrollment Management team and the MHS community to engage others in effective student recruitment strategies. -Managing a budget. -Engaging others to support recruiting efforts through representing Enrollment Management within MHS and externally; including community influencers, students, and their families or sponsors.
-Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing or a related field, Master’s degree preferred. -At least 3 years of experience leading others to innovate and achieve goals. -Experience recruiting from or marketing to lower-income communities a plus. -Demonstrated skills in results tracking and forecasting. -Proficient in utilizing Excel, databases, and applying internet recruiting strategies – including social media. -Exceptional communication skills to inspire others including verbal, written and platform. -Skilled in strategic thinking and adapting based on market changes and outcomes. -Demonstrated skills in collaborating, change management, leading others, and managing for results. -Skilled in project management and event management. -Available to travel periodically and work some evenings and weekends. -Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students. -Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are considered to be role models for MHS.
