Develops and executes strategic marketing/marketing communications plans for various service lines/essential services while ensuring alignment with the Christiana Care Health System's mission and brand promise.
Collaborates with colleagues within the department and throughout Christiana Care, securing appropriate input, reviews, and approvals to ensure that the plan is executed to exceed the client's expectations and support system-wide goals. This may include developing print, radio, television and web advertising; producing videos; ordering promotional literature; creating newsletters; coordinating special events, and any other methods to communicate the client's programs and services.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in strategic planning process for key service lines and essential services.
Develops and writes strategic marketing/marketing communications plans for service lines/essential services that align with overall Christiana Care Health System's goals.
Advises service line leaders on marketing communications strategy and opportunities for external awareness within the service line.
Client Relations/Team Collaboration
Collaborates with colleagues within the department and throughout Christiana Care, securing appropriate input, reviews, and approvals to ensure that the plan is executed to meet the client/service lines marketing needs, overall system goals and corporate brand.
Coordinates external advertising campaigns and aligns coordinated efforts with relevant partners to establish and maintain consistency between media.
Initiates, plans, organizes, and manages a variety of projects within the scope of responsibility to meet the needs of internal clients and to coordinate with Christiana Care Health System's overall marketing strategy.
Manages the marketing communications meetings with service line leaders and provides regular progress reports.
Meets all timelines and deadlines. Adheres to pre-established project budgets and secures competitive bids when appropriate.
Follows procedures with regard to saving and archiving work to create accurate, useful records for entire department.
Prepares management briefings for internal and external audiences.
Works with client leadership and other stakeholders to develop annual budget
Coordinates advertising campaigns and creative with internal and external partners.
Makes recommendations to External Affairs and the system on ways to improve brand identity and messaging.
Partners with social media team in the development of digital campaigns for clients.
Writes clear and concise copy for a variety of media, including print, radio and television.
Writes for a variety of other purposes, such as scripts, news articles and features, press releases, brochures, pamphlets, PowerPoint presentations, direct mail, email marketing as well as marketing and communications plans.
Manages promotion of special events such as lectures/symposiums, community education presentations, health fairs, etc. in coordination with key stakeholders.
Coordinates process of creating and delivering KPI reports on all campaigns and marketing efforts, in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Manages marketing video production and editing.
Purchasing of Christiana Care Branded Specialty Items
Makes recommendations for and coordinates purchase of specialty items.
Market Research & Measurement
Manages marketing research projects for service lines/essential services as needed for new programs and services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum ten years of marketing and/or marketing communications experience, with a demonstrated ability to write and successfully develop multi-facetted marketing communications plans using internal and external resources such as advertising agencies, writers and designers, printers, photographers.
Candidates with degree in marketing are preferred.
Understanding of digital marketing is preferred.
