Job Summary: The Marketing Specialist will be part of the NYC marketing team focused on business development support for our sales professionals. This position requires the ability to translate visual and written content into successful business development deliverables, using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. It also requires the project management of presentations, placemats and banners, and at times, proposals and other new business tools. The ideal candidate should have a good design sensibility coupled with advanced formatting/layout ability, along with problem-solving skills. Candidates should be able to work with great accuracy in a fast-paced, client service-oriented environment while maintaining grace under pressure. Responsibilities: Acts as a representative of the marketing department to 200+ brokers in CBRE's Manhattan offices who require strategic marketing, as well as marketing tools, to help in their pursuit of new business.
Assists in development, coordination and implementation of new business deliverables, and integrates research and analysis that support each unique approach.
Works as a team/collaborates with marketing colleagues, brokers, research and production services, among other departments, to develop and execute deliverables.
Provides quality control for materials that leave the marketing department based on department protocols (proofreading, style guide, production management, etc.).
Maintains and updates marketing library of presentations and other collateral.
Remains informed and up-to-date on industry knowledge, trends and competition in order to provide relevant, actionable insights to projects and pitches.
Qualifications: Collaborative attitude and strong day-to-day communication skills. Adept at building productive relationships with brokers, marketing colleagues and other departments, to help facilitate the development process, as well as generate a positive result.
Service-oriented and responsive. Works well under deadlines. Can employ personal time management to prioritize projects and get work completed.
Adept with software programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and Creative Suite. Possesses solid PowerPoint, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop skills, including the ability to format/layout as well as create/modify infographics, create animations, insert pictures/files, etc.
Able to employ project management skills and engage people across staff and departments to move projects forward and complete deliverables on time.
Strong attention to detail, including strong proofreading/editing capabilities and interest in achieving the highest quality, most accurate deliverables possible.
Strong organizational skills, including working with file libraries, file nomenclature and versioning during the development of materials.
Energetic, enthusiastic and people-oriented. Enjoys working with different personalities and can adapt/accommodate to others' work styles while achieving goals and objectives of projects and deliverables.
Comfortable with learning software/new skills, such as industry-specific software to create map deliverables, such as 3D and 2D maps.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2-4 years of related experience/training. While knowledge of commercial real estate (or a related industry) is a plus, it is not required.
