The Communications and Marketing Coordinator develops and implements communications strategy and plans, including branding and messaging for the Institute. The Coordinator is responsible for helping advance Walter Rand Institute's impact and business growth goals through the promotion of its expertise, services and accomplishments via a variety of outreach channels. These include, but are not limited to: the Walter Rand Institute (WRI) website, public news outlets, social media, collateral materials, and events. The Communications and Marketing Coordinator reports to the Executive Director, maintains close and routine communication with WRI's program teams, and coordinates with the Chancellor's communications staff as appropriate.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of communications, marketing, public relations, writing, editing, and project management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in communications or related functions
Completes work independently and collaboratively with broadly defined work objectives. Performs professional work that requires specialized and general knowledge of one or more fields of communications, marketing, and public relations. Works with executive director to develop strategy and engages with executive director and program staff to build and maintain understanding of the Institute' work and consistent messaging across the organization
Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or a related field
Salary: Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and within departmental budgets.
