Lenoir-Rhyne University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) invites applications for the position of Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions.
This is a 12-month, full-time, salary plus commission, benefit-eligible position.
Responsibilities will include successful execution in planning, developing and administering all aspects of the athletic department marketing and promotions strategy with an emphasis on solicitation and acquisition of corporate sponsorships, developing and executing a ticket revenue strategy, and developing a promotional strategy focused on increasing attendance at athletic events. This position will be responsible for creating a high volume of new corporate partnerships, stewarding current partnerships, and activating sponsorship agreements while reaching and exceeding annual targets to achieve the strategic goal of broadening and maximizing the base of corporate support.
Description of Key Duties and Tasks
Responsible for revenue generation and executing strategies for direct personal solicitation and stewardship of corporate sponsorships for athletics.
Responsible for the design, planning, implementation and administration of sponsorship agreements.
Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive sales, marketing and promotions program for season ticket and group sales with an emphasis on football and basketball.
Develop an overall promotional strategy focused on increasing campus, community and student attendance at athletic events.
Responsible for working closely with the University office of Advancement, Athletics Communications, and Game Operations to develop ticketing and/or in-game promotions, and will ensure activation and fulfillment of all sponsorship agreements.
Develop partnerships across campus with student life, student groups, and faculty to increase campus engagement as well as student internship opportunities.
Serve as a key person on the athletic department’s senior staff reporting directly to and working closely with the Director of Athletics.
Supervise marketing and promotions staff including interns, graduate assistants, and student workers.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
