Arkansas Children’s has retained Witt/Kieffer to assist in the recruitment of a Vice President of Marketing and Communications. This is a newly created position and this executive will play a very strategic role during an exciting period of time within the history of the organization.
A core element of the strategic plan for Arkansas Children’s is positioning the organization as a children’s healthcare system that serves a broad and diverse market service area for pediatric services. This growing system of care has two primary sites:
Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) is a tertiary care and regional referral center located in Little Rock. With its roots dated back to 1912, ACH has grown tremendously throughout the years and the current footprint of the clinical facilities now spans 36 city blocks. ACH currently has 359 licensed beds, 4,200 employees, 500 providers, and 100 residents and fellows in pediatrics and pediatric specialties. The doctors at Arkansas Children’s Hospital are consistently named among the Best Doctors and Top Doctor lists, both locally as well as nationally. ACH serves as the comprehensive clinical, research and teaching affiliate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
As a part of the growth strategy Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW) is located in Springdale, Arkansas and will open in December, 2017. The new ACNW campus will be a 233,000 square foot facility with 24 inpatient beds, a 30 bed emergency department, 30 clinic rooms, five operating rooms, and a helipad. ACNW will provide the much needed expanded pediatric services in a market service that has seen dramatic population growth over the past few decades.
Successful candidates will have a record of accomplishments in designing and implementing results-driven strategic marketing initiatives that have a strong foundation in analytics/metrics. This executive’s experience will include success with implementing digital/social media strategies that cultivates and connects with targeted market segments. Arkansas Children’s will entertain a broad range of candidate profiles including those who bring senior marketing/communications experience with a nationally recognized healthcare organization or marketing executives from outside healthcare who have a passion for children’s healthcare.
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will make an immediate impact on several mission critical strategies for the organization. This executive will design and implement a wide array of innovative strategic marketing initiatives that are aligned with the overall strategic plan for Arkansas Children’s. There is a tremendous amount of public support for Arkansas Children’s and the achievement of its overall strategic plan will be greatly enhanced by the recruitment of a highly accomplished marketing and communications executive.
