The Membership Marketing & Administration Manager plays an integral role in attracting, retaining and engaging member schools, their participating faculty and students. This manager executes the organization’s membership strategy and is directly responsible for the management of all data and processes related to recruitment and retention. This manager also acts as the organizations bursar responsible for all aspects of day to day bookkeeping and accounting.1) Responsible for management of all membership data, tracking and reporting, including but not limited to: a) Processing new member applications and customer service; b) Updating and maintaining membership records; c) Recruiting and retention tracking and reports; d) Managing all aspects of the database; e) Manage journal distribution, print and on-line access2) Assist members with day-to-day needs working to engage using all available electronic media as appropriate.3) Ex-officio staff member for the Membership Committee.4) Provide personalized service to assist members with data submissions, profile updates, and member benefit utilization.Award Committee Management - Work with each award committee to: set deadlines for submission; create or update on-line applications or nomination submission process for each award; promote availability of awards; update all content as necessary for award web pages; ensure timely decision-making; extend invitations to winners to attend conference; solicit all content for publicity inclusion; order the desk top displays.Group Management - Act as staff liaison for all small groups within ACSP and orient new leadership annually to understand their value to the ACSP as well as how to use the tools ACSP provides for them toward their best interest.Career Center Management - Respond to and assist members and non-members with job postings and resume submissions. Manage the Career Center on site at the annual conference.Bookkeeping Responsibilities1) Membership dues invoicing and processing of payments; 2) Work closely with the conference manager for all registration processing; 3) Prepare journal entries for prepaid expense, deferred revenue; 4) Process and pay all invoices in a timely manner; 5) receive and deposit all organizational revenue; 6) Perform annual 1099 reporting for vendors; 7) Support executive director in development and analysis of annual organization budget; 8) Maintain accounting procedures and policies and systems of internal controls to ensure the integrity of all financial systems; 9) Be key interface with banks and be responsible for cash management; 10) Perform non routine tasks requiring strong judgment and initiative.
Very beneficial to have good typing skills, yet critical to have good writing skills and salesmanship. Knowledge of YourMembership.com (AMS), Quickbooks and MS Office will put you at the top of the choices of candidates although not absolutely required.Hiring independent contractors from the Tallahassee area.
