The position is responsible to create and implement the branding, marketing and communications strategy for the organization that results in measured successes toward defined goals and objectives, utilizing well-defined planning and implementation tactics.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Develop and implement comprehensive communications and marketing plans to successfully promote membership offerings and programs, products and services.
Analyze and interpret marketing, sales and competitive data in marketing promotion and development.
Analyze and interpret membership and customer data to support membership recruitment, retention and renewal efforts.
Utilizing both existing and new communication mediums, increase the knowledge and favorable image of the organization with its members, customers and non-member independent agents, increasing the value propositions IA&B represents.
Manage and direct marketing and communications staff and resources.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Develop and monitor ongoing department budgetary duties, as assigned.
Work closely with the President and CEO as needed to forward the association’s stated goals and objectives.
Travel to membership meetings, special events, board meetings, and other programs as requested.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or equivalent. Knowledge of the insurance industry is desired, but not required.
Experience: Minimum seven (7) years of experience in communications and marketing field, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience of management within said field. Association membership experience preferred.
Specialized Knowledge or Skills: Demonstrated success managing multi-year marketing communications, as well as running and calculating ROI analysis on said plans.
