The Ohio University Department of Marketing in the College of Business invites applications for one full-time, faculty position. Start date for the position begins August 14, 2017. Depending upon qualifications and interests, faculty may be appointed as a non-tenure-track Executive-in-Residence or as a tenure-track Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor in Marketing.
The Department is seeking a student-centered, research-active, innovative faculty member with experience and interest in digital marketing: outbound, inbound, social & new media, mobile technology, and/or analytics. Preferred candidates will also have experience and interest in consumer behavior and/or consumer marketing. Candidates should have interest in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as leading corporate partner sponsored research projects with undergraduate students through the Consumer Research Center.
Faculty will be expected to primarily teach in-person on Ohio University's main campus in Athens, OH. Non-tenure track faculty typically have a teaching load of 7 courses per year; tenured and tenure-track faculty have a teaching load of 5 courses per year.
The Marketing Department is the home of the nationally ranked Schey Sales Centre and the recently launched Consumer Research Center. Undergraduate programs include a marketing major, marketing minor, and certificate in sales. The Marketing Department offers a variety of teaching opportunities at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Candidates applying for a non-tenure-track appointment must have earned a Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field from an accredited program by the start date and substantial professional experience in digital marketing.
Candidates applying for a tenure-track appointment must have earned (or at the ABD stage) a Ph.D. in Marketing or related business field from an accredited program by the start date to be considered. Salaries for the appointment are competitive based on AACSB statistics and the candidate's credentials.
Candidates with professional experience and/or teaching experience in digital marketing and consumer analytics will be preferred.
