The American Public Health Association is looking for a Meetings and Marketing Coordinator to handle marketing of APHA’s Annual Meeting and Expo. APHA is dedicated to the advancement of the public’s health and of public health professionals. The Annual Meeting convenes 12,000 attendees and 450 exhibiting companies to promote the work of public health through scientific sessions, exhibits and more.
This position manages marketing and communication for the Annual Meeting along with basic meeting support. Responsibilities include creating a marketing plan, managing social media, writing email marketing pieces, developing promotional web videos, developing and marketing sponsorship packages, acting as liaison to graphic designer, reviewing webpages and answering general meeting inquiries. The position is also responsible for the development of our Annual Meeting mobile app and performs other duties as assigned.
College degree required, preferably in marketing and/or communications. A minimum of 2 years of marketing experience required. Applicant should be comfortable with online database applications and must be proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, Word) and social media platforms.
Salary low 40’s, commensurate with experience.
Hours: 35 hours a week, full-time, Mon-Fri. (daytime). Number of openings: 1.
