The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Marketing Assistant. This is a contract, full-time internship position with a targeted salary of $29,232.00/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Marketing, the Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the department's marketing, sales, promotions, and advertising for an individual sport or sports and special events surrounding UCLA athletic teams/events.

All applicants should demonstrate the following abilities and requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as skills in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction; ability to demonstrate skills in conceptualization, development, implementation and review of multi-dimensional corporate and marketing, sales, and promotional programs; demonstrate creative abilities in generating innovative ideas and exploring alternative approaches and solutions to problems; knowledge and experience of men's and women's athletic events and procedures; knowledge and ability to follow all Pac-12 conference and NCAA rules and regulations; display organizational skills as well as the ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a manner accurately reflecting the relative importance of job responsibilities without constant supervision; ability to work under time constraints and with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and distractions; demonstrate the ability to supervise UCLA staff members, student work force and a diverse group of volunteers, in addition to interacting effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents, administrators, and other staff; demonstrate word processing and computer skills to complete assignments with speed and accuracy; ability to operate a computer with working knowledge of various computer software systems including: Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook or other e-mail software.
