CRS is seeking an experienced Member Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and championing all of the Council’s marketing efforts related to membership acquisition, engagement and retention.
Develop and implement all membership recruitment, retention efforts and reinstatement marketing efforts.
Manage the Council’s advertising sales efforts related to the annual print referral directory as well as the online and mobile versions.
Participate in annual budgeting process; manage marketing budget expenses
Manage the Council’s Real Magnet email marketing platform for member marketing initiatives
Manage the daily email calendar and advertising calendar
Develop and produce all member acquisition and retention related marketing emails and SMS text campaigns sent by the Council including:
Weekly acquisition email campaigns
Ad hoc promotional SMS text campaigns
Monthly CRS Sponsored emails
Marketing Promotional emails
Event Promotional emails
Manage renewal/re-instatement email lists and database
Manage outside vendor, affiliation and sponsor relationships
Oversee outside advertising relationships (e.g. Illinois Association of Realtors, RE/MAX, etc.)
Manage Meet-A-CRS and Featured CRS advertising and ad assembly
Manage and represent CRS onsite at marketing events
Develop and create banner ads for CRS magazine online and e-newsletter editions
Manage and create content for various aspects of the crs.com website.
Manage outbound telemarketing efforts for ad hoc promotional campaigns
Reports on results and recommends new approaches and promotions
To perform this job successfully, the individual must possess leadership skills, the ability to create and implement ideas; work both independently and as a team, multi-task and produce quality work on time and within budget.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field.
2+ years of related experience; ideally with an association.
Strong editing, writing and project management skills.
High level of creativity and initiative; able to balance multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with membership management database software. (CRS currently uses Rapattoni Magic but will be transitioning to Aptify within the next 12 months).
Experience producing marketing materials and using relevant software for layout and publishing.
Experience managing communications programs including website, email marketing (Real Magnet) and social media
Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Ability to work flexible schedule to meet high volume work periods and to occasionally travel for association meetings and to support membership outreach.
