General Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the goals of the Solar Energy Trade Shows marketing department. The candidate will create targeted emails, maintain SETS websites, manage and fulfill media partner contracts and manage press relations.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: To be successful in this position, you must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties as assigned to meet business needs and organizational objectives.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
Event marketing emails
Write, proof, and send event marketing emails targeting attendees for all events
Maintain lists, campaigns, and overall system functionality for Pardot, the email marketing automation
Lead a bi-weekly email marketing meeting with other staff
Manage and update all SETS’ event websites, including solarpowerinternational.com, events.solar, and solarenergytradeshows.com
Use branding guide to ensure consistence across all websites
Must approve all content uploaded or changed by other staff members
Create attendee, exhibitor, speaker, and partner toolkits for all shows (except the exhibitor toolkit for SPI)
With SEPA and SEIA, manage and approve press applications before all shows
Manage press room onsite for SPI
Send press with event updates prior to all events
Act as marketing point person for specific regional events
Create and maintain marketing schedule
Attend all meetings pertaining to the regional events
Assign duties and manage other marketing team members as necessary
Manage the budget for regional shows
Create content and maintain social media platforms for all events
Coordinate content and advertising cross-departmentally
Education / Experience/ Attributes:
Knowledge of Pardot (or other marketing automation software) and Salesforce or other database
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Basic html knowledge
Familiarity with managing a website
Ability to work individually as well as with a team
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple event timelines at once
Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Ability to identify and diagnose challenges, create and implement solutions.

Working knowledge of various CMS-based web applications, social media outlets, and other marketing assets.
Solid technology skills and knowledge with windows operation system.
Software programs, Excel, Word, Power Point, Salesforce, a2z (or some database management experience).
Demonstrate experience negotiating and managing vendors.
Ability to travel (up to 15%).
This position reports to the Senior Director, Marketing, and will work closely with all other departments.
