Boston University's Creative Services group is seeking talented, enthusiastic and energetic Account Executive to support the branding initiatives of Boston University by leading and overseeing print and interactive design projects in Creative Services (CS), ranging from simple fliers to complete websites. You will serve as a liaison to clients, advising them on appropriate and cost-effective communications solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining positive communications by proactively anticipating and negotiating solutions to potential problems, managing clients' expectations, and keeping clients abreast of project status. Account Executives ensure that CS teams are prepared, proactive, thorough and accurate throughout the duration of the project. In collaboration with other CS staff, Account Executives also develop project specifications, schedules and budgets and are responsible for ensuring that clients are billed appropriately for all projects.
Salary: Grade 73
B.A./B.S. preferred. Three to five years experience in production or pre-press for printing, publishing, or marketing communications. Knowledge of print design process and requirements, as well as website design and development. Strong understanding of marketing principles. Demonstrated computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet functions. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks under deadline pressure. Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere. Agency experience a plus.
