The Assistant Vice President for Brand Strategy inspires and leads a team responsible for strategic marketing communications and creative services at Miami University, advancing the national reputation of the institution and ensuring the highest level of brand cohesion, quality, consistency, and creativity. This individual oversees a team of 30 people in areas including the website, social media, photography/videography, and graphic design, reporting to the Associate VP of University Communications and Marketing as part of the Office of the President. Managing agency support relationships, oversight of the branding and advertising budget, and promoting close collaborations with peers throughout the University, especially with Admission, Intercollegiate Athletics, Regional Campuses, and Advancement, is essential. As ‘chief innovation officer’ and brand champion of the university, this individual engages effectively with the university’s many core constituents and is focused on helping Miami retain and improve on its dynamic history as a leading liberal arts university.
