The Marketing Team at Teachers College/Columbia University seeks to reach, serve and grow the audience of prospects around the world with gold-standard admission recruitment publications and communications and an increasingly powerful set of digital programs.
The Lead Marketing Manager will manage and lead the day-to-day operations and management of the advertising strategy across existing and emerging platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more) and serve as the account manager for several academic programs that have been targeted as growth opportunities by the Director of Strategic and Digital Marketing and the Associate Provost for Enrollment.
This position will work in concert with staff responsible for recruitment within these targeted academic programs, new digital community, and other social media community stakeholders within the College to provide targeted, relevant, value-added recommendations and opportunities to internal College clients and departments, with the purpose of leveraging digital advertising and digital communications to expand or contract awareness of academic programs and the College in the digital space.
This role will be our in-house expert in digital ads, including the latest industry trends and platform changes (examples include search, social, and display ad platforms and networks, including programmatic), and maintain a strong strategic and tactical knowledge of the digital advertising space.
In addition, this position will provide excellent, effective, and efficient best practices to achieve communication goals. This position requires a strong communicator, an organized mindset, a talent for collaboration and problem solving, an ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, and a passion for social media and the present and future of digital advertising. This role is a leader, a team player and trusted partner, and a specialist that can communicate technical complexity to audiences of all levels.
This role also requires a deep understanding of the end users of our digital products - our prospects and newly admitted students - and a creative mindset to help bring the breadth of the College's offerings to them in relevant, targeted, interesting ways that cut through the noise.
The Lead Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Strategic and Digital Marketing in the Enrollment Department at Teachers College. This is a full-time professional position.
