Seattle Genetics is looking for a Pharmacy Fellow to join its US Commercial Marketing group. The objective of the Seattle Genetics pharmacy fellowship is to provide pharmacists with industry and business experience to complement their clinical training. The 1-year training program is meant to serve as a strong foundation for a career in biotechnology.
Candidate will assist and lead a variety of projects within the Marketing group while interacting with personnel from Sales, Market Planning, Managed Markets as well as key cross-functional groups including Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Development. The fellow will also have opportunities to participate in strategic marketing initiatives, including the development of brand and tactical plans.
The role will primarily support key US marketing activities associated with the promotion of ADCETRIS (brentuximab vedotin). ADCETRIS is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) directed to the CD30 antigen using Seattle Genetics' proprietary ADC technology. It comprises an anti-CD30 monoclonal antibody attached by a protease-cleavable linker to a cytotoxic (cell-killing) agent, monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE). The ADC employs a linker system that is designed to be stable in the bloodstream but to release MMAE upon internalization into CD30-expressing tumor cells, resulting in target cell death.
ADCETRIS® (brentuximab vedotin) is approved for two types of lymphoma in more than 65 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Japan and members of the European Union.

Seattle Genetics is a biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing innovative, empowered antibody-based therapies for the treatment of cancer. We are the industry leader in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), a technology designed to harness the targeting ability of monoclonal antibodies to deliver cell-killing agents directly to cancer cells. ADCs are intended to spare non-targete...d cells and thus reduce many of the toxic effects of traditional chemotherapy, while potentially enhancing antitumor activity. In addition to one marketed product, we are advancing a deep product pipeline to address significant unmet medical needs.
