The Woodmansee Group is a Retained Executive Search Firm representing a highly recognized, fast growing, energy drink company. They are seeking a Director/VP of e-Commerce. This position provides leadership and vision to drive the execution of the most compelling B2C strategies. The Director/VP, e-Commerce has strong infrastructure and system understanding to keep the Digital strategy moving forward. This position has a deep understanding of analytics and uses these key insights to shape the eCommerce strategies.
This position is based in Detroit, MI and will report directly to the President and works closely with the Brand, Consumer Engagement, eCommerce, Creative, Production, Analytics, regional partners and Customer Service/Operations teams.
The Director/VP of eCommerce provides leadership and vision to drive the execution of the most compelling B2C strategies. They work with many cross functional teams to drive demand creation. The VP, e-Commerce has strong infrastructure and system understanding to keep the Digital strategy moving forward. This position has a deep understanding of analytics and uses these key insights to shape the eCommerce strategies.
Drive the digital marketing strategy to take The Company to the forefront with precision data drive, personalized persuasive marketing that delivers effective and sustainable growth
Grow omni-channel strategies, architecture and infrastructure requirements to fulfill our eCommerce business strategy.
Keep current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology to keep The Company at the forefront and ahead of competition.
Demonstrate strong consumer and customer focus and spearhead overall strategic positioning of our eCommerce strategy to follow industry trends and to keep a "finger-on-the-pulse" of the customer base and competition.
Support the integration of marketing, online sales and advertising to develop multi-channel strategies and increase brand/product awareness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, architecture and back-end solutions for enhanced online functionality in order to ensure that the overall brand strategy for the Company is translated.
Partner with third-party vendors to identify and apply solutions for customer acquisition, conversion and website optimization.
Frame and map opportunities based on historical results & current trends to maximize sales.
Have a future focused vision on incorporation of new digital opportunities in the business.
Must have a proven track record of 5-7 years of database, direct and online marketing including at least 5-7 years in a commercially minded role. eCommerce or catalog experience strongly preferred
Must have a proven track record in running a successful eCommerce business that demonstrated significant year over year growth.
Must be able to translate offline brand vision to the online channel and execute strategies that lead the company consistently towards that vision. Must mirror the values and positioning of the brand at all times.
Has managed at least 10 Direct to Consumer campaigns.
Ability to quickly test many approaches, willingness to fail and decisiveness to double down on what’s working. Test and learn mentality.
Superior analyzer and aggressive communicator of data. Synthesizes and elevates important takeaways.
Extremely curious of new tools and selling methods and eager to learn. Passionate student of eCommerce.
