General Summary: The Program Manager, Marketing & Membership is responsible for helping develop and implement marketing strategy through digital advertising, social media, email, web content, collateral materials and general branding that increase AMTA membership and non-dues revenue. In this capacity, the Marketing Program Manager will work to understand and define the needs of the organization and related membership. This position will work with appropriate departments within the organization to implement business and marketing plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Marketing Manager on membership acquisition efforts including coordination of scholarship program, email communications and website updates.
Manages assigned broadcast email, direct mail, print, advertisement(online, print and social media) and web marketing campaigns from concept to delivery;
Coordinates online advertising strategy within area of responsibility by working with other staff and agency to plan, analyze, recommend and implement successful marketing strategies to meet goals and influence audiences;
Assists Marketing Manager on promotion of the AMTA National Convention and Schools Summit.
Partner with sales in growing and engaging current and future members by providing them with content that’s aligned with their needs and interests;
Manages relationships with designers, copywriters, printers and other associated vendors. Must be able to negotiate pricing and timing to ensure promotions remain on schedule and within budget;
Collaborate on development and launch of new products and benefits.
Create/Update reports to better analyze the success of our marketing efforts;
Collaborate with other departments to maintain a consistent brand voice and message
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to draft various types of planning documents including business plans, marketing plans, annual plans and budgets; Experience in setting goals, objectives, strategies, tactics and measures for marketing campaigns. Experience with the pricing and discounting; sales and delivery; and communication and promotions of member benefits and/or products.
Experience executing promotional campaigns via web, social media, digital advertising, broadcast email and print;
Excellent overall communicator, including written, oral, and interpersonal; ability to write clear and compelling copy a must;
Experience managing vendor relationships, collaborating with designers and copywriters, and handling inventory, fulfillment and service issues in a product marketing environment;
Strong project management skills including attention to detail and follow-through, as well as ability to manage several projects at once;
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in his/her work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks, shifting priorities and informational needs as the business continues to grow;
Must be a team-oriented person who can share information, goals, opportunities, and successes with the appropriate parties. Must be able to communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels and in all departments in the organization as well as external vendors, partners, and suppliers. Must be able to bring cross-functional teams together in order develop and implement projects and plans.
Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently, understands the need for detail in the midst of work being done within a much larger picture;
Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field with at least 3-5 years experience, preferably in a membership marketing, consumer marketing, product management or product development environment;
Experience with a membership organization preferred;
Computer literacy, specifically with MS Access, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Familiarity with interactive online media, including web-driven, broadcast e-mail and social networking.
At least 3 years experience using Google Analytics plus an understanding and background in digital advertising including the following platforms: Facebook, Bing, Google.
Background in updating web content and working within a CMS.
This position may require some evening and weekend work. Must have the ability to travel.
