<p>Duties/Responsibilities<br />Project Management (60%)<br />• Work with stakeholders and clients to gather and document project requirements<br />• Responsible for translating requirements into project brief and facilitating project team meetings<br />• Provide leadership to project teams including project direction, strategy, and managing all aspects of project development<br />• Provide strategic direction to ensure content, design, and development to meet<br />project and client needs<br />• Determine appropriate channels to fulfill a business need or address a challenge<br />• Communicate project progress with UR team leaders; gather feedback and approvals<br />• Identify and resolve barriers to meeting project objectives<br />• Track project process in project management system, providing status reports through project lifecycle ‘<br />• Establish metrics and develop project reports<br />• Establish strong working relationships and regular contact with University communicators and external entities<br /><br />Marketing and Branding Support (30%)<br />? Support and assist Account Services Director on key marketing initiatives<br />? Assist with and maintain marketing programs<br />? Assist with developing marketing plans and presentations on brand and marketing initiatives<br />? Maintain a commitment to the University’s goals that encourage equity and diversity<br />? Promote the University’s brand standards and suggest updates as technology evolves<br /><br />Professional Development (5%)<br />? Stay current on project management and technology trends<br /><br />Other Duties (5%)<br />? Assist with other marketing or digital projects as they arise<br />? Work with other units to implement systemwide technology<br /><br /><br />Program/Unit Description<br />The Marketing Strategist is a key member of the Marketing Communications staff, responsible for helping to strengthen and build the University's brand image and reputation and for assisting with projects that support the University’s strategic goals as a member of the Marketing Unit. This person reports to the Account Services Director. This is a 100%, 12 month position with benefits. </p>
<p>Required/Preferred Qualifications<br />? Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field<br />? Four years of professional marketing/digital communications experience, including coordinating multifaceted marketing communications projects<br />? Strong verbal/written communication skills<br />? Ability to manage multiple tasks<br />? Excellent interpersonal skills<br />? Exceptional project management skills<br />? Demonstrated ability to work effectively in informal and formal teams with individuals from diverse communities and cultures<br />? Ability to facilitate work of various departments to accomplish common goals<br />? Extremely detail-oriented </p>
