Regis University, a NCAA Division II institution located in Denver, Colorado, is seeking applications for a graduate assistant position for event management, marketing, and promotion within the athletic department.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Performing and/or overseeing a multitude of duties related to game day events including:
Managing the event staff for home athletic events
Managing college age students from a position of authority
Coordinating halftime promotional activities
Coordinating promotion for home games in conjunction with Associate Athletic Director for External Operations
Coordination of concession program including inventory control, procurement and staff supervision.
Oversight of ticketing program with supervision and guidance from Associate Athletic Director of Advancement
Writing of game scripts for home athletic events
Ensuring an exceptional game day experience for athletes, coaches, officials, and patrons
Hiring and scheduling work study students for home athletic contests
Working with visiting teams to coordinate practice times, locker room assignments and other travel related items
Bachelor’s degree in related field, acceptance into a Regis University graduate program, and at least one year of experience within an athletics department is strongly preferred. Night and weekend hours required along with occasional travel. Start date is flexible, but recommended no later than August 1, 2018. Applicants must submit to a background check, subject to review and approval by Regis University.
Additional Salary Information: The graduate assistant position is a two or three-year assignment beginning with the 2018-19 academic year. The graduate assistant will receive a scholarship of $15,000 annually to cover tuition and living expenses.
