The Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement will increase fan and student recognition and appreciation of the Miami University Athletic Department. Further, this position will serve as the contact for youth groups, group experience events, and assist in the execution of in game presentation elements working in collaboration with internal units and oversee the Sports Marketing Academy. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.
Raise awareness of athletic events and increase fan attendance through community groups and university faculty and staff
Assist in soliciting and cultivating corporations and groups for ticket sales and advertising opportunities
Coordinate Sports Marketing Academy (SMA) internship
Staff lead for Men’s & Women’s Basketball and Volleyball
Lead on FanFEST and ancillary promotional events as assigned.
Coordinator of We Back Program and sales-terns
Oversee all spirit groups including cheerleaders. Primary contact for Head Cheer Advisor.
Responsible for hiring, training and supervising school mascot.
