JOB SUMMARY Directs Marketing and Consumer Analytics across the system. Responsible for leading and developing technology solutions to support business and consumer marketing, growth and brand reputation/recognition. Working closely with the SVP, Marketing and Communications, develops long and short term business strategies, operational plans and oversees implementation. Manages the design, structure, development and planning issues within scope of direction. This position will work closely with senior leaders and their teams to identify opportunities to leverage the tools and data available to help reach consumers, improve the consumer experience, and increase the effectiveness of system-wide and local marketing efforts. Will play a significant role, working with the Strategy and Community Health Team to drive the orgnizational strategy, methodology and functionality roadmap based upon internal and external feedback. This position will also invest appropriate time interacting with consumers, partners and other constituent groups to remain current on trends and shifts in the marketplace that impact the system direction. The role will collaborate with cross functional leadership to ensure the successful launch and ongoing support for the new consumer tools and programs under its control. Drives strategic marketing and internal and external engagement infastructure by focusing on utilization of marketing and content management toolsets supporting marketing campaigns, targeted messaging/content, communications, and analytics to drive strategic decisions, community perception and choice. It will also lead efforts on the tool usability front ensuring that our tools are designed to help us better support the populations we serve. This position is both an internal caregiver and external consumer facing position that works closely with local and system-wide marketing teams to determine the needs for business opportunity tools.
Provide leadership with vision and direction for PeaceHealth's internal and external marketing and communications efforts, ensuring support of and alignment with the organization's Mission, Vision, Values and strategic objectives. Develop targeted strategies and act upon opportunities designed to foster engagement and positive relations with key stakeholders, including caregivers, patients, physicians, board members, donors, businesses, payers and the general public. Collaborate with system and network marketing, communications and public affairs leaders to assure consistency of messages to all key audiences.
Provide support to Senior Vice President and Executive Leadership on strategic marketing and communications strategies that advance and protect PeaceHealth's mission promise and image. Work closely with Executive Leadership to inform and shape decisions and outreach based on specific caregiver/provider, patient and consumer data. Identify emerging issues and anticipate marketing needs
Establish system wide strategies for continued and enhanced utilization of technology/digital solutions that drive informed business and consumer decisions for marketing and growth.
Effectively manage staff and budget so that the department is achieving its objectives, living PeaceHealth Values, and contributing to the organization's financial health and business success. Lead marketing and consumer analytics teams; provide clear and measurable objectives; mentor, coach and promote a highly effective collaborative team environment. Directs the daily operational performance of Marketing and Communications.
Create and continually refine system-wide marketing and consumer analytics programs that improve caregiver engagement through the development of core messages, the creation of appropriate marketing channels and use of feedback mechanisms to measure effectiveness. Work collaboratively with system network leaders to ensure consistent methodology and approach.
Establish system-wide technology resources, digital/social media and content strategies designed to engage key stakeholders, support reputation management, advance the Mission promise and leverage opportunities. Develop and oversee implementation and compliance with system wide marketing and brand standards.
Establish effective partnerships with key regional and community organizations. Assist with ongoing assessment of the region's health needs and resources, with particular emphasis on disproportionate unmet health-related needs of lower income people and other vulnerable population. Expand the use of technology to improve community connection to our mission and access to community services.Maintain a familiarity with issues impacting health care and the business community.
Serve as role model in demonstrating compassion, excellence in communications and outstanding customer service. Foster collaborative relationships among community, network and system executives and Communications and Marketing colleagues.
Establish partnership opportunities with outside organizations that will enhance the effectiveness, usability, and functionality of the System Marketing and Consumer Analytics functions.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field required.
Master's Degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite skills and abilities to successfully perform the job.
Minimum 10 years experience in a leadership role overseeing marketing, communications and digital consumer strategies or comparable experience, including management experience.
Experience using tools and methodology to shape the internal and external reputation and brand of the organization.
Continous performance improvement methodology and leadership approach, prefer knowledge of the Lean system and principles.
Demonstrated excellence in communications execution and results.
Health care experience preferred
