Provides a broad range of communications and marketing support to a department, college or division, including writing and editing, event planning, and promotional activities.
Assists in the research and implementation of marketing and communications initiatives for a college or division, including print publications, e-communications, and websites.
Gathers information, generates ideas, and creates and distributes creative materials via websites, social media, and e-mail.
Assists with conducting customer service surveys and analyzing survey results. Assists with addressing issues and implementing improvements.
Conducts proactive communications and customer service activities inside and outside of the department which may include the use of web-based technologies.
May provide training on communication processes and procedures. Recommends improvements to processes as needed.
Assists with the coordination and facilitation of special events and outreach functions in support of departmental goals.
May receive and answer questions forwarded from services areas when customer services staff is unavailable; logs calls in tracking database for reporting and resolution purposes.

Associates and 1 year experience
Requires the ability and knowledge for analysis and interpretation of procedures, policies and practices attainable through specific education and/or training programs in a specialty or technical field. Advanced vocational or electronic skills or a basic knowledge of a professional field is required. An Associate's degree or certification/licensing in a technical specialty program of over 18 months and up to 3 years duration are characteristic of this field. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.

Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Uses advanced multimedia software applications to create and publish graphic designs in accordance with departmental goals and objectives.
Develops and maintains content for digital platforms, including website articles and social media posts.
Coordinate and collaborate with various departments to develop digital and printed marketing material.
Creates and maintains a digital library of photographs, video, graphic designs, and program collateral.
Monitoring the results of delegations, assignments, or projects through email and phone
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor degree preferred.
Strong creative and editorial writing skills.
Strong design skills preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Proficient knowledge of MS Office.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
Knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CMS, other content management systems a plus.
Experience executing print media, direct mail, email, and social media campaigns.
Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to develop and build relationships in a diverse university.
Exhibit excellent presentation as well as professional written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills; detail-oriented; self-starter; creative; and willingness to learn.
