Texas Tech University invites applications and nominations for a Professor of Practice position in the Marketing and Supply Chain Management Area at the Rawls College of Business. This nontenure track position is open to all levels of rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full), but an experienced teaching professional in sales is preferred. At a minimum, candidates must have an MBA or MS degree in Marketing or closely related field. The ideal candidate may have a Ph.D. in marketing, meaningful industry work experience in sales roles, university level teaching expertise in sales courses, exceptional communication skills, a strong commitment to teaching excellence, and a student-centered service orientation. Candidates will be expected to have expertise in teaching sales related functions (i.e., personal selling, sales management, negotiations, etc.), and a desire to teach online. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program?building, as well as commitment to extra?curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. The position has a 3/3 teaching load and competitive salary. This new position will assist current faculty as needed with all marketing programs. Effective date of employment will be the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester
