Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) This position is responsible for strategizing and developing marketing tactics to influence and increase enrollment in contracted Medicare Advantage plans. They also execute marketing plans that are primarily activity-driven, which requires event coordination, tracking business development opportunities and detailed reporting to evaluate for return on effort. Strategies are developed with the marketing manager and are aligned with the business goals of Optum. This position requires excellent relationship development skills. The ideal candidate should be flexible and able to work with ambiguity. They should be highly organized, comfortable meeting people and presenting information to a variety of audiences. Primary Responsibilities: Identify opportunity and help execute marketing strategies, in a diverse multi-cultural older adult population Participates in the development and production of marketing materials for sales channels, seniors, health education, community centers, clinics and senior newsletters Seeks and tracks business development opportunities Create educational and sales events within our targeted population Participate in activities designed to enhance member retention Execute, plan and coordinate resources (i.e., Vendors, Partners, Sales Agent, etc.) to ensure a successful event Responsible for meeting or exceeding targeted growth, retention, and enrollment expectations within assigned territory Responsible for coordinating, collecting and being knowledgeable about senior health plan benefits. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED 2+ years of marketing or event planning experience Intermediate (or higher) level of experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, & Excel) Proven experience meeting sales promotion and/or marketing targets Experience in a deadline driven environment Experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables Ability to work outside regular business hours (evenings/weekends) as needs require Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid Knowledge of CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Marketing rules and regulations Bilingual fluency with English and Spanish Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity Experience influencing and collaborating with othersCareers with Optum.
