The Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist manages Grand Trunk’s digital and marketing communications strategy, leads in the development and interpretation of strategic brand marketing goals into deliverables for the brand and customers with these main areas of responsibility:
•She/he develops digital marketing & communication plans, assures delivery of campaigns beginning with general strategy to the creation of assets to execution on digital and social media, and tracking of campaigns. •She/he stewards the brand’s visual identity and oversees its continued development and implementation in all marketing channels. •She/he ensures that Grand Trunk products and brand are well represented and promoted online and offline. •She/he executes product launches in a strategic OMNI channel approach. •She/he develops and manages affiliate, ambassador and content marketing programs. •She/he will generate engaging content and promoting through various online channels such as social media, blogs, and email marketing campaigns.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
•Capable of articulating intimate familiarity with outdoor industry professionals. •Creative, visionary and strategic with a focus on planning and executing marketing projects. •Intimate knowledge and experience as a decision-maker. •Experience with creative marketing process development. •Expertise in content marketing strategy, influencer marketing and affiliate marketing. •Update content on Grand Trunk website as needed and prioritized by the Director of Marketing •Engage and help grow Grand Trunk social media communities; create shareable content, create engaging email campaigns, reach out to possible influencers/ vloggers and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner. •Utilize MailChimp to design and build e-mail campaigns and report on results •Extensive hands-on use of commerce platform, SHOPIFY. •Strong leadership, listening, collaboration and dynamic presentation skills. •Excellent written and oral presentation skills with a keen sense of articulating ideas and concepts. •Attention to detail and strong communications skills required. •Reviewing creative: providing guidance, critiques, and approvals •Planning, time management, organizational skills •Proven ability to work effectively in a team. •Work well under pressure and deadlines; ability to complete special projects given by Director of Marketing.
Education Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Advertising, Business, Art) Work Experience 4 years in a marketing role, demonstrated ability to develop, interpret and implement effective digital marketing strategies, both aesthetically and practically. Experience must include working with outside agencies.
Location You must live within 100 miles of Chicago, IL
Travel 2 - 3 days per month
Telecommuting is allowed.
