The marketing coordinator will play an integral role in driving attendance and atmosphere for the Department of Athletics. As part of the University of Utah Athletics marketing team, this role is responsible for creating marketing strategy and implementation in close collaboration with Coaches, support staff and those involved in the programs.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has lead responsibility for marketing, effectively promoting the Utah Athletics teams including maintaining marketing budgets, branding, increasing attendance, create and implement marketing campaigns, develops marketing materials, promotional game operations/presentations, game entertainment, developing a fan focused + engaging game atmosphere. Develops strong relationships on campus and focused on generating student-attendance along with expanding community contacts. Maintains highest level of communication with Coaching staffs, extremely organized and multi-tasking individual. Assists with other aspects of the marketing department as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency required. Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
Department specific qualifications: A complete focus on service, marketing, growing within the athletic marketing field and desire to be successful and being part of a team. Must have working knowledge and experience with web design, HTML, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, graphic design, etc.
